Business Process Modeling and Notation Course 1

This business process modeling and notation course provides the basics of BPMN and shows how to integrate with the Integrated Enterprise Excellence (IEE) enhanced Business Management System.

Learn about the basics of BPMN using the Level 1 palette of symbols.

This course is not a sit and listen course. The course is more of a workshop style where each student not only learns the basic BPMN usage but will also obtain the applied skills to enable them to become a proficient process modeler right after the course completion.

The course is taught in two one day sessions and they require each student to provide a BPMN 2.0 complient process modeling software. The course itself is software independent, which can be a real advantage to a student because they are able to learn using Visio or other common process modeling software or they can learn using their proprietary BPM Suite software modeling software. If the student does not have a current software that is complient with BPMN 2.0 then we would recommend either Visio 2013 or iGrafx process for Six Sigma 2013. Both software will provide the modeling performance required, but the iGrafx software will additionally allow the model to be simulated as it is created.

An Enhanced Business Management System for BPMN Implementation

Organizations benefit when BPMN techniques are integrated with a business management system that provides predictive automatically-updated reports that are in alignment with the processes that created them.

This can be accomplished through the Integrated Enterprise Excellence (IEE) business management system, which addresses the traditional scorecard and business improvement issues that are described in a 1-minute video:
