ASQ Exam Prep Courses
SSI’s exam prep courses prepare students for the American Society of Quality (ASQ) “Six Sigma Green Belt” or “Six Sigma Black Belt” certification exam.
Green Belt Exam Prep Course:
The course builds foundational concepts and skills in the Body of Knowledge for the Certified Green Belt and helps students maximize the efficiency of their preparation for the test. We recommend an additional 40-80 hours of study and practice after completing this course.
The course is 40 hours, or 8am – 5pm, Monday through Friday. The student should bring a TI-30 calculator. Although no prerequisites are required, it is desired that the student have at least three years of work experience.
Black Belt Exam Prep Course:
The course teaches the Lean Six Sigma practitioner to lead improvement teams within a business organization utilizing the Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control model. The Certified Six Sigma Body of Knowledge is covered with highlighted focus on the ASQ certifying exam preparation. We recommend an additional 60 – 80 hours of study and practice after completing this course.
The course is 40 hours, or 8am – 5pm, Monday through Friday. The student should bring a TI-30 calculator. The student will need to complete two projects and will have a minimum of three years of work experience in a Six Sigma area to be eligible for ASQ’s Black Belt Certification.
Course topics include the following:
- Goals of Six Sigma
- Introduction to Lean and DFSS
- The Six Sigma improvement methodology and tools (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control phases)
The student will apply these Six Sigma skills by studying the course materials and taking and reviewing sample questions similar to those on the actual CSSGB or CSSBB exam.
