Response: Process improvement project selection is an important aspect that organizations often have difficult with when deploying Lean Six Sigma. For an overall Lean Six Sigma deployment, it is more desirable to have the business system metric improvement needs “pull for improvement project creation.” To accomplish this, large and small companies are benefiting from the approach described in the Quality Digest article “Stop Wasting Improvement Resources: Theory of constraints and lean Six Sigma project selection so the enterprise as a whole benefits.”
