Combining Lean and Continuous Improvement with Design Thinking

QUESTION: I am looking for information on the combining Lean and  Continuous Improvement with Design Thinking. Do you know an article on combining these approaches, or do you have a case you can share with me?

RESPONSE: A system for accomplishing this is Integrated Enterprise Excellence (IEE).   Figure 3.1 of a free e-book that can be downloaded from the home page of Smarter Solutions website shows the IEE system graphically.  You will note from this figure how improvement to the business as a whole can be made through design-thinking projects or process improvement projects.  The book also goes into details of implementation.  A 5-book series on the Integrated Enterprise Excellence system provides all the details of implementation.
